DSM-Firmenich announced the names of the two companies that will result from the sale of its Animal Nutrition and Health (ANH) business to CVC Capital Partners, during the World Nutrition Forum 2026, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, October 21-22.
Noviwest is the new name of the company that will produce vitamins, carotenoids and aroma ingredients. By producing a wide range of vitamins in Europe, the company said it will help safeguard global food security and give customers in the food, feed, fragrance and pharmaceutical industries peace of mind. The designated CEO of Noviwest is Silvia Sonneveld, head of the Vitamins Unit at DSM-Firmenich ANH.
“At a time when resilience and supply security are critical, we believe a strong European manufacturing base for essential vitamins plays a vital role in safeguarding food systems, animal nutrition and human health,” Sonneveld said in a press release.
Panavora will produce feed additives, as well as other services and solutions including digital products, and the world’s largest premix distribution network. As the world seeks more sustainable, efficient and resilient animal protein production, Panavora will help customers turn complexity into opportunity, it said, and will partner with producers across the value chain to improve animal health, performance and sustainability outcomes. The designated CEO for Panavora is Ivo Lansbergen, president of DSM-Firmenich ANH.
“The future of animal nutrition will be shaped by data, science and closer collaboration across the value chain. Panavora is being designed to help customers navigate that future with confidence by combining nutritional expertise, innovative solutions and precision capabilities that translate complex challenges into measurable results,” Lansbergen said in a press release.
DSM-Firmenich announced plans to split ANH into two entities in February when it said it had entered into an agreement with CVC, a global private markets manager. Subject to completion of the transaction, CVC will acquire the companies, while DSM-Firmenich will retain a 20% equity interest in each. The transaction is expected to be completed at the end of 2026 and is subject to conditions including regulatory approvals, the finalization of all required employee consultation processes and the creation and separation of a standalone Essential Products Company and standalone Solutions Company by DSM-Firmenich.
After the transaction is finalized, Noviwest and Panavora will operate as independent companies, each pursuing its own strategy and serving customers independently. While the companies will operate separately, they will continue to collaborate in selected areas where their capabilities are complementary, allowing customers to benefit from the combined breadth of expertise, innovation and solutions across both organizations, while each company remains independently managed and governed.
Preparation and separation activities will continue as the transaction moves toward completion. Until completion, ANH will remain part of DSM-Firmenich and will continue to focus on serving customers and maintaining business continuity. Further information about Noviwest and Panavora will be communicated as the two future companies take shape and relevant transaction milestones are reached.
